Worship
Children are welcome to attend part or all of the service in the sanctuary. At CPC, we believe that faith is caught, not taught. Part of “catching” the faith is learning the pattern of worship, listening to music, hearing prayers repeated and sharing sacred moments with parents. We invite you to encourage your children to follow along, sing hymns or enjoy the children’s resources located at the back of the sanctuary. Kids and parents can pick up a special “children’s bulletin” each week.
Children lead the congregation in worship through acolyte candle lighters, seasonal children’s programs, and special readings and dramas.
8:30 Service
All children are invited to come forward for a special children’s message. After the children’s time, children are welcome to go to nursery care or return to sit with their families.
9:45 a.m. Christian Education
We offer Sunday School classes for all children in the church. There is nursery available for children younger than pre-K.
11:00 a.m. Service
All children are invited to join in the children’s message. Following the children's time, there is a Junior Church lesson with bible study and crafts. Children attend a Children’s Chapel worship service monthly in the Fellowship Hall. Older elementary students are the worship leaders for this service.
“I love that my children are welcomed in church & learn from watching and experiencing faith and church along with adults.” - Mom to three young children. |
