Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
Music is an integral part of our worship together, as we praise God and express our faith through both traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs. All are invited to sing in the choir or to share vocal or instrumental talents for special music throughout the year. Everyone is welcome, from seasoned musicians to joyful noise makers!
The sanctuary choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. New voices are always welcome! The choir leads the congregation in the joyful praise of God through song on Sunday morning - usually at the 11:00 a.m. service except for once a month at the 8:30 a.m. service. The choir sings a wide range of sacred music, traditional hymns, contemporary praise songs and songs from around the world. Instrumentalists occasionally join the choir for special music offerings. Please contact Dominick Izzo, Director of Music at CPC, for more information.
The handbell choir meets seasonally and plays during the special services for Christmas and Easter. There are a variety of ages in the handbell choir, from youth to seniors.
Each Advent, CPC children present a musical Christmas Pageant to lead the congregation in worship a few weeks before Christmas. We often enjoy the gifts of children from the town and community who join their CPC friends for this yearly program.
